Whether it is the central injection similar to a carburettor, or the much more effective multi-port injection or a diesel injection and boost pressure control, all are controlled by state-of-the-art hi-tech - the engine control unit. Among other things, identification fields are stored in the control unit, which regulate the amount of injection depending on different parameters such as load and speed. All newer diesel engines with injection electronics can therefore be tuned relatively easily electronically by increasing the amount of injection. The limit is specified by maximum soot emissions and is not reached in our solution. In the cylinders, even at full load, there is an enormous excess air which is sufficient to process an increased injection quantity. Torque and power increase until this excess air is used. This is done by our external power boxes, which optimise the sensor signals so that the on-board computer simply adjusts an increased amount of injection. Other processes such as the engine parameters are not intervened and all relevant engine parameters such as boost pressure remain at standard level.
