I have yet to test the refill mechanism, but I find the fact that they are refillable to be easier on the wallet and the environment as there will be less plastic waste. As you can see from the photo, the quality is just about equivalent between these and the Expo markers that I was throwing away after about a week of use. It gave me a pang every time I tossed away another piece of plastic.The black Evergreen is actually darker and bolder than the Expo in my opinion, and the orange is very good, too. The blue is also quite strong. I could wish the red and green were a bit darker, but they still are very close to the Expo and I don’t use them nearly as often as black.I haven’t used any up yet after about five weeks, which is great, so I haven’t tried the refills yet.I do prefer a bullet too and these have a chisel tip, but I’m willing to go with that in exchange for not having to constantly throw my markers away.
