I was giving a poor review of a cell phone and after hitting enter, the page jumped to the same review format but for this item and I just retyped it. So if you see my one star review know that I take it back. These lighters have been working for over 30 days and there is no problem. I use them to light my pipe cleanly. Two things that I have found holds true for all the chargeable lighters (I have had 4 altogether). The battery does not charge in a cold environment so I keep them on my warm cable box (like my cell phone) and the connections must be kept clean so I use cheap alcohol wipes.
