I had the one mile antenna and remote. I upgraded to the 3 mile remote. To get it to work I had to buy the 3 mile antenna. The wiring was the same from the one mile to the 3 mile I just had to plug it in. Which was nice I didn’t have to re rout wiring. This is a two way communication antenna it has to be compatible to your key fob and the compustar modular. When I received this antenna I thought it was a knock off because packaging was not even close to the original nice store boxes but Im glad I went ahead with it. It should come with a wire harness that plugs into this antenna. I haven’t tried a 3-mile distance, it works where I need it to work with some buildings in the way. Best Buy installed their model:RS1B-DC3 Compustar kit (wait until it goes on sale), this antenna and paired it to 2WT11R-SS key fob T-12 (also purchased at amazon) all at once for their regular installation fee. Make sure you ask to program for a rear defrost to turn on, when vehicle temp is at 32F or below. Do that even if your car doesn’t have a thermometer, the Compustar modular has its own. If you have a t-12 key it will show you if you engine is running or not, doors locked or not, a battery voltage and a temp reading on the display no extra programming needed. Make sure this antenna pairs to your key fob, that’s where most complaints come from.Note: best buy will not charge extra to uninstall their kit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good deal! *by A***. on December 24, 2023* It says antenna only.... but mine came with the whole kit... antenna, wire, temp sensor.... haven't used it yet because im waiting on the 3 mile upgrade remote to come... but ill update if i have any issues... so this is a great deal for coming with everything! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super simple and works with cm700-as *by W***N on April 2, 2023* I asked someone on here if it work with the cs7900-as and they said no…. But then I decided to see if the compustar website said anything different and it sure did. Works with tons of different setups including the cm700-as that comes in the cs7900-as I got. I swapped this antenna (used existing wire from the cs7900-as system as is) and had my t12 remote programmed on the first try.
