I do purchase one with no case included. **Q: Is this meter US made?** A: Does not say on meter, instruction booklet says Made in China. Call this number and ask about it 800-435-0786 **Q: does this meter use a fuse?** A: Yes, it has two fast acting fuses; one for most functions 400 mA/600 V and a second for the 10 Amp inputs 10 A/600 V. **Q: what battery powers this unit?** A: 1 9volt battery is needed ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Multimeter Ever *by on Reviewed in the United States July 29, 2013* I have tested almost every function of this Multimeter and everything worked flawlessly. The probes included are nice and of decent quality. I have not had it long enough to see how long the battery life is. The casing seems very durable and should be able to withstand lots of falls, though I have no intention of ever dropping or throwing mine. The screen is very easy to read, large number.I have used several different brands on Multimeters in my time as an Electrical Engineer and Greenlee definitely makes the best. At work all we use is Fluke brand meters and they are awesome, but I think the Greenlee is just more accurate and a lower price.There is not a whole lot more that I can say about this. It works as expected and does everything perfectly. Readings all seem very accurate and there is no noticeable delay to get a reading.
