My favorite chip ever.
Terra Blues are my favorite potato chip. A savory flavor with a slight nuttiness. A very "earthy" chip. They fry them just right too. The mouth feel of this chip is excellent, a just right crunchiness I cant get enough of. I am so happy I can get cases of 12 5oz. bags at around 3 dollars a bag. It's a tad on the expensive side but it's the best chip going as far as I'm concerned. I wish they would maybe offer them in different flavors. A BBQ, a Saracha, or anything with a bit of spice would be good with this savory chip. The times when they are unavailable always worry me. I hope they never discontinue them. I have even grown these potatoes myself and made my own chips but alas, they are not as good as these. Bit they do make a interesting and delicious potato augratin. Worth buying again and again and again and again........

Too Delicious...Wait for Amazon Sale!
The normal price for these chips is just too high to justify on a regular basis, so it is one of the many items I have on my shopping list so I can keep track of prices and scope out when it goes on sale. I got lucky on these recently, at about half off, during the warehouse sale for the box of 12 so I jumped on it. These blue chips, not dyed, just made from Blue potatoes, are such a treat. They are crisper and somehow heartier than your normal chip and, like almost all Terra Chips, are just deliciously made. I've grown blue potatoes in my garden. They tend to be much smaller so the chips also are smaller. You certainly don't need nearly as many to get your salty crisp fix than you do of your regular chip. These arrived double boxed and in perfect shape. New chips with expiration date the same as the chips in the store so not an issue there. It may seem strange buying groceries at Amazon, but I had to say, this was convenient, smartly priced and well worth it!

Better than regular Potato Chips! Subscriptions are GREAT!
Terra chips are better than most of the other chip brands - less oily, less salt, with great taste, and we love the Sea Salt Blues, which are often out of stock locally. It is great to be able to subscribe and have a reliable delivery to keep them on hand.

Crushed chips
This is the third time we have purchased the 12-pack and the first time they came with crush damage. From the minute I picked up the box on our porch, it sounded like it was filled with small pieces, like confetti. We are now about halfway through the 12 bags and each has been the same: the chips are mostly broken to bits. The bags are not broken open and do not otherwise appear damaged, but the chips are not the generally whole chips we received in our first two shipments. The box they came showed some signs of rough handling, so we think that it was shaken quite hard at some point. The chips are still edible, but we would never have ordered them again if this had happened with our first order.

Good. but expensive for what you're getting.
Like alot of people, I got turned on to these by flying on JetBlue. My local Kroger actually sells Terra chips, but not the Blues. Amazon is the only place that I've found that carries just the Blues. Anyway, they are very tasty, and slightly more healthy than typical potato chips, (even though that's a relative thing). The downside is mainly the cost. A 12 pack of 5 oz backs runs $40. This is more than twice as expensive as typical chips. If I reorder another box, I'll probably wait for a sale or promotion. On a side note, the bags I received were labeled for sale in India. I found that odd. Chips tasted fine though.

Great!
These are really great chips. They have about 20% fewer calories than regular white potato chips, and they have a unique, nutty flavor that I like a lot. And they're high in antioxidants, too. The only downside is they aren't cheap. But they're worth it.

As you can see, the chips of only purple colour is to used for consumption. The problem is that the quality of potatoes used is poor. Overall a good salty taste. The catch is you have to find each good purple coloured chips inside the pack.
