I am attaching to 1/2inch conduit and the fit is perfect with my lighter and thicker row covers. I know my row covers are not going anywhere now and my plants are safe with these on! These held with no problem with 4inch of wet spring snow, strong winds, and even a hail storm thus far! I have put them on and removed them multiple times now and they have not lost the ability to hold. They are harder to remove, but I figure that is a good thing. I believe we will get multiple seasons out of these clamps. Quality product that is worth the money. Review: Does fit 1/2" EMT very well, pry rings off for a looser fit - I've used these for several years to clamp to 1/2" EMT that I've bent into row cover hoops. Works well with plastic sheeting and shade cloth. Beware they actually work almost too well! As delivered they clamp quite tight and you may even tear a small hole or two in your sheeting taking them on and off. With a narrow flat blade screwdriver you can pry the metal rings off and then they aren't as grippy, but then depending on the thickness of your sheeting they're possibly a touch too loose if a storm comes.
