## Description

It is the valve staid in the superior part of the coffeepot and uses in ordet to distribute two levels of pressure. It has to be cleaned up periodically and its eventual substitution is very simple. Fit only for the coffeepots for cappuccino: Mukka express 1 cup, electric Mukka 2 cups, Mukka express 2 cups.

Review: PERFECT - I bought my Mukka Express from the thrift store for $2!! It did not come with the pressure valve. Having never used this pot before, I wasn't really sure how to put it on, since it never seemed to "lock" in place. I soon realized that you only slide it down and give it a clockwise turn until it stops. This valve has been working perfectly since I bought it and I use it at least twice a day. I make sure that it is cleaned after every use. After dissembling the pot, I turn the valve upside down in warm, running water until the water shoots through the tiny hole on the bottom tip. That way, I can be sure there is not build up of milk. I use raw milk in mine so I have to use a little bit ofbottled water to dilute it, or else it is too thick and doesn't froth correctly. I also use bottled water in the bottom of the pot as well. This valve comes with an extra O-ring that is red. I would recommend replacing the clear one that is already on the pot. The red one seals the valve much better and it doesn't sputter at all. Thumbs up to my favorite kitchen gadget ever! Bialetti has discontinued this pot and it is a shame because I absolutely LOVE it!

**Q: Cannot replace valve using o ring that came with the new valve.The valve will not seat properly on o ring .New o ring is clear color??**
A: I’m not sure what is wrong, I have not had trouble with replacing them. Perhaps there is a YouTube video to show you how,  perhaps it is defective. Or perhaps you are putting it in the wrong place. Not sure

**Q: Can this valve be used in other  esspresso makers brands**
A: I do not think so. I think Bialetti has a proprietary design unique to their own Mukka Express makers. Curious why you want to use one elsewhere? If you have a new Mukka valve, I will buy it from you.

**Q: The Bialetti valve you are featuring is for two cups. I need one for my six cup moca/capuchino coffee pot. Will it fit?**
A: I do not know I have a 2 cup

**Q: Is this item authentic? And does it come on its original package shown in the picture.**
A: Mine came in the original package and I believe that it is authentic.  It came from Japan and it arrived in less than one week.  It is quite expensive but I was desperate.  I was in Rome this past summer and bought a new pot in a Bialetti shop.  The two valves appear to be the same construction.

This is my second replacement pressure valve for my mukka express coffee maker. This one fits appropriately tightly, and is heavy enough that it doesn’t pop early. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The included gasket is too large for the valve.

My original valve met its demise in the garbage disposal. I ordered this one as a replacement. It came with a red rubber gasket with instructions for removal of the original gasket and placement of the new one. The new gasket is too large. The valve cannot get a good seal, because it cannot screw down tightly on the stem. (If you rock it back and forth, the valve will easily come off.) I tried several times to get my customary cappuccino, but pressure would not build up to make a froth--it slowly leaked coffee into the milk. In my last attempt, I pressed my finger down on the top of the valve to create a seal, but when I released it a couple of minutes later, the valve burst off the stem and coffee & milk spewed all over my stovetop, stove vent, and wall--a huge mess. I put the old rubber gasket back on, and it works fine, but since it was damaged when I removed it to put the new one on, I believe it will not last long, and need a new gasket that fits properly. The valve itself is great, and I love my Mukka Express. Makes great coffee!
