Are there alternate filters that will fit ?** A: I didn't see any replacement filters but seriously, these filters do work. I checked the fluoride content after filtration. It was 0.08 which is virtually 0!, and they last 2 months which is about 8 UK pence per day if my calculations are right. It's a no brainer for people who want to avoid the dangers of fluoride. **Q: Can I pour warm water in the klar water jug?** A: I tried hot water before and it ruined my cartridge. It clumped whatever powders (that filter the water) inside and wouldn’t allow much water through so didn't filter properly. So now I stick to cold water from the tap and pour the filtered water in my kettle if I need filtered hot water **Q: I washed the cartridge under cold water + submerged it for some time. The cartridge is leaking out grey carbon matter, is it broken?** A: Hi There, have you tried rinsing the filter under a tap for a few minutes after submerging? **Q: There is a blue sticker on the base of the filter. I am right in assuming that this blue sticker should be removed before use?** A: Yes, you should remove the sticker. Good product *by N***T on 29 March 2026* Fab thanks ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A filter that works well *by K***4 on 6 May 2025* My impression of the Klar water filter jug and replacement filters is that it does what it's supposed to. It's always difficult to know for sure with these things if they do what they say because it's not like we have a lab at our disposal to test the water. But what I can say is the taste and clarity of the water is excellent. I have a good feeling about it and cannot taste any chlorine or metallicness. I was drawn to klar due to the fact it filters chlorine, fluoride and tries to eliminate hormones and pfas. I wanted something that could try and get rid of microplastics. The layered filter seems to do it's filtering well. We are never going to eliminate everything. I believe it adds magnesium into the filtered water, which is a huge benefit. You must follow instructions to soak the filter and rinse it several times, filling the jug twice and pouring out, before using. It takes a few times to get rid of the loose charcoal, though this doesn't cause any harm in small amounts (apparently). It's quick and big enough for a small family, you can refill pretty quickly. What I also like is that you don't need to keep it in the fridge, water stays fresh for about 12 hours. I get sensitive teeth sometimes so appreciate that. I feel this filter does a lot more than some other similar jugs. The filter lasts 2 month, but if you start to notice a change in taste, I would change it sooner.
