The fans come with the cooling fan control module already installed and threw no codes. The only thing that needed to be transfered from the old fans was the lower radiator hose holding clip. I was a bit apprehensive because the "big fan" blades were oriented the opposite direction from stock (The blades face up vs OEM facing down) but they work as expected. They're more than powerful enough to cool the engine and are very quiet.--------A little tip.Once you wiggle the new fan in start the top screws first a few turns. Then do the bottom ones. ### ⭐⭐⭐ It turns on *by R***T on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2020* I used this for my 2006 VW Jetta it has a 2.5 engine......the dummy lite still comes on the auxiliary fans run at low speed versus high speed. The same speed as when I turn on a/c. Temp remains same. Doesn't overheat. As of yet I haven't driven the vehicle on a 2 hr drive though di with my vehicle being a high performance vehicle it's what needs to be done to determine if this part performs as it should. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Working great so far *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2021* Had this about a year and it still works great. Got the wrong one the first time. Make sure you look at descriptions/numbers carefully and know measurements of the frame. There are at least 2 very similar versions of this and one is a larger frame. This is obviously pretty cheap plastic - it has that smell like a burnt electrical wire - but it does the job.
