A: Yes, very heavy duty and durable. Have had it for 5 years, through stuffing the pockets full, climbing over fences,etc. Bought another for my son- they are worth it.

A: While it is not insulated, it is thicker than your normal blaze orange vest due to lining and pockets.  It does provide a little warmth.
