(I've lost 22 lbs in 10 weeks, and brought my blood sugar from 7.0 to 5.5 just with diet and exercise -- I have been taking this so seriously!).These almonds are very cost effective, and I actually really like that they are smaller than many you see, because I eat them one at a time as I am writing and browsing on the computer, and it makes them last. However, every so often, there is an almond that is bad -- I have gone through several containers now, and some have been perfect, and some have had a few bad nuts. I don't really mind, but you have to watch out.At the price point, it's worth looking at a dish of nuts and every so often pulling one out that you can see has a bad spot on it eaten away. My mom used to say that if the stuff is less enough sprayed that a little mold or bugs gets in (even if it's not organic) it's better for you too. There's likely less residue in your food. So don't let that put you off.But I did want to dock one star so people would look at the review and see that this is something to watch for.I've been re-ordering though. They are a good buy, and very tasty. I have not gotten any problems with them being fresh as some others have reported. Mine have been very crisp and crunchy, and stayed so in the jar -- probably because I eat them pretty quickly, they are so good!One of my favorite ways to eat them besides snacking is in chicken salad with a few dried cranberries or raisins, scallions, celery, almonds, chicken breast, and olive oil/balsamic vinagrette. Sometimes I throw in leftover steamed veggies, and I've also used ground beef or tofu puffs rather than chicken. My whole life I swell from fluid retention with salt sensitivity issues. I had tried the plain roasted and came back to find they were oos. The picture and description show the peanuts along with cashews, almonds and chocolate. The container I received was almost all peanuts (95%) with some chocolate pieces (4%).
