**Q: Will this stone work on a 9260 spring steel katana of high rockwell hardness? I've been using paper abrasives of silicone carbide but no dice.**
A: I have used this stone for finish sharpening on my shop tools and, my blue #2 steel kitchen knives. These have an HRC of about 60-62 and works quite well. So , I would say that this stone would work nicely on the 9260 blade. Just an FYI, the CERAX 1000 is also a good stone and I use that to do the bulk of my sharpening before hitting it with the 5000 stone.

**Q: is this stone a soaker stone? or splash and go?**
A: It is a soaking stone not a splash and go. But is a very nice smooth and fast stone for 5k. Takes 5 to 15 minutes to active the stone in water.

**Q: Will this sharpen powdered steel at a Rockwell 65-66?**
A: I have used it to sharpen a chef knife with hap40 steel which I believe was at 65hrc with no issues never tried pm steels yet though hope that helps.
