I bought this filter after manually cleaning the original for years. Im thrifty. Well, I got what I paid for. If you have a Bissel Zing, the little green one, Model # 2156A (the label is on the bottom) DO NOT purchase!!! Unless you want to waste your time and money. I, on the other hand, determined to make it work and not wanting to go thru the hassle of returning, tried to make it work. After vacuuming a few spots on the same day that I opened it, and made this post, the filter popped from the prongs and spun in the canister each time. The suction was fabulous!!! Of course, because after using a clogged filter for years, it would be. The outer screen DOES NOT fit, whatsoever. I used the original screen over the new filter. It still popped off. Youre supposed to make sure the prongs fit, but if you keep forcing it to fit, you will actually ruin the indentations for the correct filter. The Bissell website did not carry the filters, the last time I checked. I love this vacuum. It is an affordable light weight bundle of joy, especually if you have pets and kids.
