Well I did. The tablet, the size of a 'Dal' seed needed to be cut in half for medication that is supposed to carry on for life for my elderly mother. Almost Impossible to cut such a small tablet in an exact half with fingers, nails or a knife - either pieces would fall, would send the slippery tiny tablet flying somewhere or break in unequal halves (making it even more tougher to cut the unequal half to measure). Of the various options I looked for, I went for this and it has not failed me once (since 3 weeks now). Almost the size of a palm, the inside can handle various tablet sizes - even those much larger. I am happy with this purchase.Update of 14 Feb 2019 : Works like it did when new. Hasn't failed once - it has been used every week for 1 1/2 years now.June 2019After reading some comments would like to add a note on cutting of the pill : The way to cut a pill is to place the pill inside and slant/tilt the cutter a little downwards. That positioning will ensure that the pill slips into the V slot at the bottom. The pill will never slip away. However if you keep the cutter flat (say on a table or in your palm) you can never be sure as the Pill inside could slip/slide as the cover gets closed. So therefore, the more the slant/tilt the more secure the pill in the V slot inside the cutter (you won't be able to keep the cutter perpendicular to the floor/table because then the pill will fall out).
