Overall I would recommend this case it does the job pretty well. I put this in my backpack and pull it out when I get to my location then set it up. It was little more money than some other brands out there but I knew what I was paying for and that's protection and quality. The inside is pure softness and the outside its hard so you can know that your speaker is going to be safe. The design is great and even the pouch is soft on the inside for the charging accessories. No, you cannot close the case with the strap on the speaker. Ideally, you would want to use that strap for the case and then maybe attach it back when ready to use.
