## Description

Product Description The LiteFuze LT series 2000 watt Step Up/Step Down heavy duty voltage transformer is equipped with circuit breaker protection so you'll never need to replace fuses on overload. It also features the convertingbox technology which ensures lighter weight and noise reduction during operation. The LT-2000 is compatible to operate on 50 hz or 60 hz. It is designed to convert single phase 110-120V to 220-240V or 220-240V to 110-120V. This CE certified transformer is safer with advanced side vents for ventilation. The efficiency factor of LT series voltage transformers is 1.5, use this factor to determine the correct size voltage transformer for your electronics/applainces. Just multiply the efficiency factor times the max power(watt) rating of your product and then purchase a transformer of atleast that size. Review: Beware of wattage before purchasing, This is more like a 500 Watt transformer NOT 1000 Watt transformer like advertised??? - Item came in damaged box. Thanks to desertcart double wrapping the boxes or unit would have been damaged for sure. Unit seems to work ok for now but only time will tell.I am using this to step up from 120 vac to 220 vac for a contemporary kitchen exhaust rangehood that was purchased in Europe. The rangehood consumes (according to manufacturer) 270 wattts of power. This transformer is 1000 watt so I should be good to go. Note: I just checked the voltages to see where they are at. My household voltage is at 123.7 Volts AC and the transformers pumping out 247 Volts AC ? On their wrinky dink owners (from China of course) manual they claim to USE at least 50% higher wattage transformer than your equipment required wattage. So this in my opinion is NOT a true 1000 watt transformer??? More like 500 watts tops? The chinese ALWAYS try to make their product sound better than what it is. Also this product does NOT have UL or ULC or CSA certification symbols on it??? This is very concerning? Good thing my exhaust fan doesnt exceed 300 watts total? Also, the instructions also tell you to "turn it off" when not in use so this is NOT a continuous use transformer? I will keep everyone posted of my findings and performance of this unit over time. Remember the formula AMP X VOLT = WATTS for example if an electrical razor draws for example 1Amp X 120 volts= 120 watts of power is needed UPDATE: Item still works great.Installed rangehood fan from Europe (220 Vac) fan uses close to 300 watts of power so picking a 1000 watt unit should NOT put any strain or stress on it. Transformer puts out 247 volts which is ok for European voltages. Still going strong Ill keep you updated! UPDATE: May 18/2016 transformer still going strong , exhaust fan still runs perfectly Great transformer upto now Recommend
Review: Reliable and Consistent Performance! - I’ve been using this converter for over a year now, and it has been nothing short of exceptional. As someone who values consistent electrical output, this converter has exceeded my expectations. From day one, it has provided a stable and reliable performance without any surges, ensuring that my expensive equipment runs smoothly. Whether I’m using it for my home office equipment or other electronics, it has never let me down. The build quality is solid, and it feels like a durable piece of equipment that will last for years to come. One of the standout features for me is its ability to handle both step-up and step-down conversions seamlessly. This versatility has been incredibly useful, especially when dealing with different voltage requirements for various devices. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

## Features

- Universal Output Socket - The product features a universal outlet that can accept plugs from almost any country and is fully grounded from input to output to ensure a safer operation.
- ConvertingboxTM technology - It uses a toroidal transformer for efficiency, noise-free operation, and delivers a more compact voltage converter, that is approximately half the size and less weight compared to traditional transformers. Select a proper size voltage transformer by checking the max power rating in W or WATT on your electronics and then purchase a transformer at least 1.25x that size to account for any surges or spikes during operation.
- Fuse Protection - The fuse will cut off the power to the transformer during a power overload and you can easily replace the fuse to reset the transformer. LiteFuze transformers are designed with safety in mind and are CE-certified.
- Heavy Duty Step Up/Down Operation - Convert 110/117/120V AC to 220/230/240V AC OR 220/230/240V AC to 110/117/120V AC. Set the input voltage switch in the back based on the country's voltage and connect your appliance to the appropriate outlet in the front. Note that these transformers only convert the voltage and the output Hz (frequency) remains the same as the input.
- Lifetime Copper Coil - each transformer is wound with premium coil and wire to ensure a reliable and efficient performance over a long period of time. These transformers aren't designed to operate on US 220V and aren't compatible with US 220V appliances, you can use them to power US electronics abroad in a 220V country or use 220V electronics in N. America on 120V.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: My house is 110-120v. The heater I want says 4000 Watts, 240v , 16.67 amps will this converter work?**
A: Simply judging by what the manufacturer explicitly says about the 1.5x power factor then this 5000 watt converter could safely be used only up to an appliance with a max rating of 3,333 watts. Phase consideration aside, this would not be enough for your 4000 watt heater and you'd likely burn out the converter in a short time.

**Q: Your 5000 Watt unit says it is compatible with 50/60 Hz. Is this unit also handle 50/60 Hz**
A: It handles 50Hz and also 60Hz as input. It does not convert the frequency (Hz) only the Volts. So if the input is 110V with 60Hz the converted output would be 220V with still 60Hz.Most equipment, like amplifiers and also DVD players always worked fine for me.Caution only where you use it for things with a string electric motor like a blender or espresso mashine, it works fir me for over 2 years but the sound is weired.

**Q: I'm planning on taking this to germany. how will i be able to plug it into a schuko outlet, since it looks like it comes with a u.s. power cord?**
A: You may use an adapter or have the cord cut and install a schuko adapter.

**Q: can this work with a Braumeister 50L (German) 220V 3200W, 16 amp unit that I will use for approximately 2.5 to 3 hours**
A: No to answer your question.
It's over rated !
On the box its printed 2000 watts and its scratched out and then it says 3000 watts. You need 3200 watts. The transformer is actually a TOROIDAL auto-transformer and is non isolated from input to output in order to keep cost and weight down. TOROIDAL is far much superior than i & e lamanations.
Also when I opened the power supply I discovered that the 120 volt thermal breaker is 20 amps = 2,400 watts max...way short for 50L Braumeister
The 240 volt thermal breaker is 10 amps = 2,400 watts max.
If you are using this in the usa you can only use a maximum of 1800 watts because the line cord is #14 awg, 15 amps maximum input, and you need 16 amps minimum continuous that limits the 240 volts to a maximum output of 1800 watts. (If you try to increase the line amps past 15 amps on the cord you could risk a fire hazard, But many usa homes have 20 amp, 120 volts outlets so feel the cord and plug and make sure it doesn't get hot ! )
If you are using this at 240 volt x 10 amps = 2400 watts maximum input limit before the thermal breaker activates.

Also I tested the neutral on the input cord and it matches with the neutral on the outputs such as the 120 volt socket and on the universal socket.
The Schuko socket is reversible so no test done there.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heavy duty performer
*by E***Y on June 27, 2011*

I am overseas and was getting tired of not having enough power or outlets to power up my items. I was looking through various transformers and chose this one based on it's wattage and it's Amazon prime availability. There were a few cosmetic issues after first inspection. Those do no affect the performance one bit. I was able to plug every item i had in my room into this and still had more available outlets and power. I have had it about a week and keep it on constantly and have had no issues with over heating or tripping circuits. I have had a television, DVD player, game system, shop vac vacuum cleaner, 2 laptops, a cordless phone, all plugged in and operating at once with no issues. Great product. Received it very quickly. If you need a lot of power for a good price get this.
