Works great! Without harsh, toxic chemicals.
I purchased this to remove silver sharpie from black, lightly textured plastic. Seemed like a big ask. When I was ready to open this, I went out to the garage, opened the doors and put on protective gloves. I was expecting some serious toxic fumes. To my surprise the product was more like soap. I dabbed the ink mark with the Amodex and waited a few minutes. It didnโt really work. I was expecting immediate results. Like when using Naptha or alcohol. When in doubt-follow the instructions! I put a drop of Amodex, large enough to cover the ink mark, and waited until the next day. The next day I put another drop on the dried Amodex, to dampen the dried section and scrubbed it with a tooth brush. I let it set for a few hours and I wiped it off with a damp paper towel and the silver sharpie was gone. Awesome! I had 15 items I needed to remove the ink from. They were fairly small. I have quite a bit of the product left over. I just hope I can find the bottle next time I need it. Might be a long review, however I was impressed with how the product worked and that it didnโt need harsh, toxic chemicals!

It works
The jeans had some ink smudges. I applied this product + other stain removers each day for about 3 days. The stains now become very light when wet, and they don't even show on the jeans when dry. Quite pleased with the result, but be prepared to apply it to an article of clothing and soak it in water for a few days (you may want to mix it with other stain removers too)

THE LAST STEP OF โLAUNDER AS USUALโ IS CRUCIAL
UPDATE: I kept at it with the stains and discovered that the final step of laundering โas usualโ is when the stain goes. I tried this on both pants and a couch. The pants are clean! It was when the washing with ordinary soap and water (in this case by hand) that the stain disappeared. The couch stain still isnโt gone all the way, but it is much better. So I will repeat the process and focus most on the washing at the end part. (The directions clearly state not to wet the item you are cleaning with water before beginning so I am going to let the couch dry thoroughly before I try it again). But I am quite impressed by the job it did on the pants and can now recommend this product! Original review: This product took a while to arrive and I waited impatiently as a pair of pants had gotten ballpoint on them. Followed the directions exactly. Sadly, this product did not reduce the stain much at all. Plain rubbing alcohol worked better. (The product has a pleasant fragrance but to my mind thatโs not worth the greatly higher price as compared with rubbing alcohol). It removed a slight amount of a sharpie stain on a fabric couch, but not much. Stain still very very visible. Again, rubbing alcohol worked better on both these ink stains, though it slightly faded the area treated for the pants, which this product did not. But this product didnโt work for me at least.

Works ๐ฏ
This was AMAZING!!! I wish I had taken before and after. We had a dried in ink stain from a pen being washed by accident. I had to use it and wash then use it again- about three times total but it took all of the ink out- you can not see it at all!!! Definitely will keep for future use!

More than 5 rating for this amazing product
In the gym locker room I shared my cleaning discovery and everyone bought it. I don't get commission, I just love the product. The biggest test was a lacy Queen Victoria style blouse from 2 generations ago turning brownish and stained, especially the collar. I was going to throw it away, sniff sniff. I tried Amodex and it returned to its majestic glory. Grease on grandson's jeans, - gone. Cranberry dots from a spill - gone. Amodex is inexpensive, easy to use. Just remember DO NOT USE WATER before you use Amodox. I am not a salesperson. I get no money for sharing my authentic enthusiasm. I had 2 skeptics in my family not believe me. Now they do. I gave a bottle to all friends.

Not bad, but not amazing
I have to preface this with I had a stain that would NOT budge on a VERY expensive 100% white cotton knit sweater- a few splatters of random bright orange paint or highlighter or something that I couldnโt figure out, which definitely complicated stain removal. The sweater was totally unwearable. I tried everything, literally: shout, oxyclean, acetone, alcohol, Goo Gone, Rit Dye Remover and in desperation ordered Amodex. I have to say it was definitely the most pleasant to use with a mild scent and thick creamy formula. I applied, agitated into the spots, let sit for 12 hours and washed. Nada. Tried again, this time leaving overnight, adding more, leaving for another 12 hours, adding more, another overnight and a wash (36 hours and 3 applications). The stains definitely lightened a bit but nothing drastic- maybe 40% lighter than before. I probably wouldโve tried another 36-48 hrs round, but ran out of product. At this point I figured I would try to most industrial โstainโ remover I could find and ordered Goof Off Professional. Worst case is it wouldnโt work and Iโd have to dye the sweater another color and hope the orange wouldnโt show through. To my surprise, Goof Off professional removed 95% of the remaining stains in one application (apply, dab to remove excess stain, wash in hot water), but it was super smelly and clearly an actual chemical mixture. If it wasnโt a white cotton sweater, I probably wouldnโt have chanced it, but so happy I did. Amodex definitely helped lift the stains, but didnโt remove them like the Goof Off professional did.

The Best Stain Remover. Period. Read And Follow The Directions.
Update: September 9, 2020: Someone got ink on their fingers from a printer and the suggestions on the internet to use hair spray, alcohol, tea tree oil, or shop hand cleaner to remove the ink are a joke...It didn't remove an ounce of the stain. So...I thought why not try Amodex? I let the Amodex soak into the skin for 2 minutes and then gently scrubbed it away with an old toothbrush, and it removed everything! The Amodox is gentle on your skin and has the texture of hand lotion. Amazing! My family has used this many times for many different stains and this is our third time that we have purchased this product. The key in using this stain remover is to follow the directions inside the box, (they are different for different types of stains) and allow the product to remain on the stain for at least 3 hours or more. If you are impatient and you think that the product can remove a stain from something in 5 minutes, IT CAN'T. I feel that some of the reviewers on this product don't allow enough time for this product to work. I didn't either at first. It needs time to remove the stain. I let it set on the stain for 3 hours and came back to it and the stain was gone! I then gently rinsed out the area with water with a clean white towel and patted it dry. It was a little more difficult to remove a stain that was on the vertical portion of my leather inside car door, someone accidentally bumped it with their ball point pen. The stain remover works best on a flat, level surface. After trying this product on a permanent black magic marker, red nail polish, a raspberry stain, a red wine stain on clothes and a pen stain, it has removed every stain from a variety of surfaces including carpet, leather, clothes and vinyl. My latest test was when someone spilled a drop of black wood stain on my pure white carpeting. After following the directions, I was able to remove the black wood stain in about 3 hours. I can't say enough great things about this product; I would buy stock in this company if I could. Remember: Be patient and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS INSIDE THE BOX and you will be the next person writing a great review on this product. Update 12-15-16: It just took out dark hair dye out of a woman's cotton shirt. I put Saran wrap underneath the stain, so it wouldn't bleed to the other side while it removed the stain. I waited 24 hours and re-applied one more coating, then washed in in Tide with cold water in my washing machine and the stain is gone. This product takes a while (24-48 hours) to do the job, but it never lets me down. Anyone who writes a bad review on this product probably didn't read the directions which state to not wash out the stain with water in advance and never use hair spray on the stain, it only sets the stain more.

Works well but is not a miracle cure
Pretty good but not useful once the stain is fixed in the fabric.

Worked Amazing, Cannot recommend enough
Iโm so happy I ordered this product. Iโm a Poshmark seller and when packaging an order of a vintage dress that sold I noticed an ink stain. It took 5 rounds of using this gel but the stain from how ever long ago lifted. Absolutely no discolouration in the garment either. This gel was a total life saver!!!

Works on cream faux leather
Was starting to lose hope after using everything recommended (including hairspray and high alcohol hand sanitizer), to remove the ballpoint pen ink stain but this product has worked wonders! Needs perseverance and patience, but after approx 4 applications for a few hours at a time, this product has near enough removed the stain off my cream faux leather dining table chair. Will be doing a few more applications to make sure the stain is fully gone. Would highly recommend.
