There is no other book on maritime security law and policy that is as comprehensive, accessible, and thorough.  The two authors are recognized experts in maritime security and international relations, having personally negotiated or drafted many of the documents they discuss.  From discussions on U.S. maritime security policy and strategy, the book examines NATO and EU security as well as environmental protection, safety and security zones, navigational freedom and excessive maritime claims.  Importantly, International Maritime Security Law provides a detailed examination of current issues in the South China Sea, port security, maritime law enforcement, piracy, blockades, and the illegal transport of weapons of mass destruction.Quite simply, this 939-page book should be required reading for anyone who is interested in, or works, maritime security issues.  Can't say enough about the impressive scope, detail, and insight...as a visiting professor at the U.S. Naval Academy, I routinely consult this book in developing my lectures.
