The lock and key are very well made. The key fits smoothly into the lock, it can be inserted both ways. The lock is sturdier than the other brands we ordered. It is well worth the additional cost. We returned 2-sets of other locks before we finally found these locks. The color is bright and vibrant too, but that’s superficial compared to the lock design.

TLDR: Small, sturdy, unique keys, good buy. I wanted a small lock that had greater durability than some of the other locks on the market. Many have simple keys and are easily broken or unlock able even without a key. These are small and not heavy, so they work great for luggage, backpacks, or other zippered items you need to secure. The keys are unique enough that you can't just pick the lock easily. I've traveled with these now a few times and they've kept my belongings secure. I'd highly recommend.

Stops Thieves Of Opportunity Barely. I can open these easily with a screwdriver. The only people I worry about are baggage handlers. My sisters flight a few years ago had a baggage handler stuck in the cargo area and they had to open a trap door in the plane so he could exit. My point is that there are opportunities to get in your baggage. I carry over $25,000 of camera equipment and I carry a $500 deductable which will handle the loss. You can rest assured that if these locks are off my case at the baggage carousel it will be investigated. For this reason alone I gave this product 4 stars. If I miss a shoot because someone got in my case..... I have insurance for that too. It won't stop anyone... probably.

These are perfect locks for travelers and they are TSA-compliant. No combinations to remember. The key works great. Very easy to lock and unlock. I highly recommend.

This is my second order of the Forge locks. I was so pleased with mine that I ordered a set for my sister who is planning a trip to Ireland. I threw away the typical locks that I bought at Walmart. The quality of these are so much better you will be surprised. Also, the key is much more substantial and you can insert it either way. I'm older and have bad eyesight and now I don't have to look carefully to be sure the key is inserted the right side up. (I struggle with those little numbers on the combination locks.) Don't hesitate. You will be happy, guaranteed!

Arrived promptly, with all four locks packed securely into a very small box. Exactly the size and colour I was looking for. Each of the four keys opens each of the four locks, so they are all interchangeable. Perfect.

These locks are bigger than the old ones I have. It work regardless.
