Great book.
I originally bought the book for my grandson. He was always asking me questions about the history of wars in America. So I bought him several Eyewitness books on the various wars. What I found it that the books included wonderful pictures plus the informative information. I read every one of them along with him. I just wish the books would have gone into more detail with more pictures, but then I had to remember that this is a book for children...although I enjoyed them as much as my grandson did.

good read
This particular book is very popular with the boys at our school. So I was very pleased I could replace it when the one we had, had become beyond help to continue circulating it. So I am pleased that I could find another in very good shape to replace it with. I was surprised at the CD and had to remove that, otherwise it would have been removed by the kids and we'd never see it again. But thank you for the prompt shipment of this book.

Great for 7 yr olds
My 7 yr old asked me about WW2 so i ordered this book for us to read together. It's fairly easy to read by herself and has a ton of pictures, photographs and information. It was great to read about something that actually happened but then talk about how that shaped the future (i.e. women working during war time). Overall it answered my daughter's questions and uncovered up a new love for history.

My 4th graders loved this book. Great photos. Full of new information that we didn’t know before about WWII.

Perfect Gift
I purchased this for my 8 year old grandson, who has a huge interest in WWII. I was totally unprepared for his response, which was "This is the best present I ever got". Big praise from a child who has everything. He was totally engrossed in the book for hours. I think he will continue to enjoy this book for the next few years. I was surprised at how much he already knows about this subject, and how he related to the material.
