If you have hard water, there may be mineral residue in the motor. Make certain the water level is full, too. **Q: I love this fountain but droplets of water spill on the floor even when the pump is on the lowest setting. Any idea how to fix this?** A: Two possible fixes. If the splashing occurs from where the lowest leaf pours water onto the screen that leads into the tank, cover the screen with a piece of clear plastic. This would stop water splashing and eliminate the water dropping sound into the bucket. The water will spread and run quietly down the inside walls of the bucket. This is what I have. If your splashing is from different leaves because the water flow is to much, even with the pump at low flow, then partially crimp or kink the plastic tubing that leads from the pump. This can be done with plastic ties or hose clamps. Reducing the flow this way will not damage the pump. Or replace some of the tubing with a smaller tube. This is what I did. But in my case I needed a longer in between tube since I hung the pump (with the intake side pointing down) from the bottom of the tree. This allows me to remove the upper portion, pump, plumbing and wire as one unit from the bucket. And also set it back in without placing anything. I do not have any water splashing and the fountain is completely silent. **Q: How many prongs is the plug?** A: The fountain plug has three prongs. **Q: I received my fountain today but only the top half was in the box. Does it ship in 2 boxes? Bummer. ### ⭐ Updated ~ only buy if you like rusty water *by V***L on June 13, 2023* Product had obviously been tested or returned as there were several places with rust. I loved the look of the foundation so I invested the time to wipe as much of the rust off as I could and my husband was sweet enough to apply 2 coats of clear Rustoleum acrylic to prevent further rusting. After this extra work, he assembled it and we fired it up after adding 2 gallons of distilled water. It isn’t as loud as I had hoped on the low speed but it is pleasant and relaxing. Also, noted that one of the leaves is welded on crooked, making the water fall onto the below leaf in a manner that makes it run outside and along the bottom of the leaf. Update ~ Hubby forgot to spray bucket so all of the water turned a rusty red. Cleaned it out and ran fresh water thru pump to clear out all the rust. Put 2 plastic bags in bucket to put pump in, but after 2 days water started to turn rusty again.
