Excellent pad! Very nice to be able to just turn the pad to the other side and keep working. Works very good and glides across the clear coat.

Expensive but works well
This pad worked well with heavy cutting compound to restore a clear coat automotive finish. Perfect results, and new paint was not required, afterall. Win.

Cuts great, leaves minimum swirl marks.
Use this professionally as a boat detailer. This pad provides a strong cut with the right compound when needed, yet is soft enough o not damage surfaces. Double sided so it can be used longer than a single pad, just flip it over.

this does not have the arbor in the middle of it. requires a separate part to attach to the buffer/grinder. otherwise high quality

wool pads
I like these 3M wool pads for buffing out new paint work. I've always used these, they work and I don't burn my paint. I will try foam pads some day but after spraying primer, sealer, base coat, color coat and clear, I really don't want to start experimenting with foam pads. I only paint a couple of bike tanks and body parts per year, and maybe an occasional car. I hope 3M doesn't stop supplying these.
