They are sturdy and absorbent. The size is large enough for a lap cloth or dresser scarf, or for a backpacker's only towel. Because they are woven (like a kitchen linen towel), they dry quickly after use, and pack down small. The side edges are selvedge, but also hemmed, so they won't fray. And the fringe on the long ends is tied off so it won't ravel, either, and looks nice. I find the 'ivory' description perfectly apt: the color is a warm white, very natural, and looks nice with the darker gray striping. Also, the packaging is nice and would make a great wedding or bon voyage gift as is. ### ⭐ Not ivory *by M***N on August 17, 2018* This is not ivory and black. The “white” is such an off White that it is practically yellow. Will return just because it does not look at all like the picture. The quality otherwise seems ok. ### ⭐⭐ Pretty, but not the best Turkish towel *by C***E on November 24, 2018* Not as soft or absorbent as other Turkish towels I've tried. The weave is smooth and tight, not as open to allow for drying. Good hand towel size.
