I was looking for salon type gel to help with my thin and peeling nails and this was it! Easy to apply and immediately protected and strengthened my nails. Looking forward to my natural nails growing out without extensions or gel - x nails.

This builder gel is amazing I'm glad I decided to get this this has helped my nails so much keep them from breaking whenever my nails grow they end up breaking because I work in a warehouse but since using their builder gel I haven't broke not one nail

I started doing builder gel manicures at home using this product, and this is really easy to use. I recommend buying some brushes to apply, so that you don't get too much product on the nail. The first attempt I used the provided brush, and got too much product and flooded the nail, which is a no-no. My nails are really starting to get longer, which I am loving, and I find it easy to fill in new growth with this product + a separate brush tool to apply. This photo is one week after finishing my 3rd at home BIAB manicure, I filled in the new growth w BIAB on manicures 2 and 3, after filing down from the prior manicure and completing nail prep. Then I applied the color and chrome powder for the color. My manicures have been lasting 2-3 weeks. Its been really fun to do this at home, although I've been filing everything by hand- it takes me about 1 hour per hand to file off the color and thin down the BIAB layer to prepare for the BIAB fill in.

This is my second bottle and it’s a game changer! As soon as my nails reach a certain length I use the Orly Fx as a structure overlay for my nails. It’s super beginner friendly and crystal clear! The gel is the perfect viscosity which self levels on its own and following the instructions of BIAB never floods my cuticle or side walls or leaves bubbles. Paired with the correct primer I get absolutely no lifting!! I do have to say due to my primer sometimes it takes a bit longer to soak off. Perfect for beginners! Like any other gel product please use caution and avoid your skin like it’s lava!!! I’ve NEVER experienced heat spikes with this builder gel. Have always come back to it and always will. Update: wanted to provide an update on how long my natural nails have grown using this BIAB!!! Longest ever and every time I remove the builder gel my nails are strong and healthy!!!

This does work and is easier to work with than typical builder gel for a beginner like myself. However, you might need more coats than you would think. It’s really great if you tend to have some ridges in your nails (like me) and don’t care to file your nails down which makes them quite thin. The other obvious downside is that you can’t add any length to your nails. Still, it does serve its purpose. It doesn’t chip off, is easy to use and creates a really nice smooth nail bed to add polish to or even leave as is with a clear top coat. I do use a base coat under this and cure each thin layer until I have the desired look. I took off one star because it’s a bit thinner than I hoped it would be. I’m undecided if I’d buy this again or try a different brand. I do love Orly and have used a lot of their products.

Good for building in nail and makes my nails last

Tools used: -Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover -Cuticle pusher -Cuticle nippers -Drying nail primer -emery board and e-file -SunUV lamp -Isopropyl Alcohol/cotton pads The situation: To start, my nails are terrible. I have incredibly thin, ridged nails that break the moment they reach past the tips of my fingers and are prone to splitting. I also work in a shipping & receiving position so my hands endure a lot of abuse and a ton of handwashing. In short, they’re just too damaged for gel/acrylic sets and normal polish (even gel) will chip within a few days due to the flexibility of my nails and don’t protect them from breaking. The goal: To help grow my sad nails and protect them while I work on improving the underlying issues of vitamin deficiencies. The Method and First Impressions: I began with a few rounds of cuticle removal as mine was pretty overgrown and untended. Any leftover cuticle will cause peeling! And then I just went for it - thin first layer, 30 sec cure, and wipe off sticky residue with alcohol. Second layer was supposed to be my final layer to help build that apex (and to fill any funny lumps/gaps), but it was a small learning experience so a few nails got a third layer. To build the apex I suggest putting a small glob in the center, wipe your brush of excess and then just push it around until it looks smooth, focusing on keep as much in the center as possible. This stuff is very easy to move around but isn’t so thin that it’s hard to manage. Tease the gel around until it looks okay and PRO TIP - hold your hand upside down to help the gel naturally gravitate to where the apex should be. Then cure again! I didn’t apply color as my job is finicky about nail colors but even clear it is fantastic! The ridges on my nails are pretty severe so you can definitely see them through the clear gel but not nearly as badly. I’ll update my review later on to include how well they survive the wear and tear of my job but for now I couldn’t be more impressed. Aside from my shaky hands and lack of professional experience, my nails look absolutely fantastic.

So Easy to use and great results

Great product that is worth the money. It was easy to use and allowed me to get a salon look whilst also adding strength to my nails prior to applying gel colour. I haven’t used to extend any nails so can’t comment on the ease of this. If I were to extend I would purchase the stickers which guide you rather than applying on its own.

Product arrived as advertised, I was happy with the size and quality of the product and packaging. I will be using this to add strength and thickness to my nails, do my own (short) gel nails at home with a UV/LED nail light. I am excited to try Orly Gel FX gel builder, I have not tried this brand, it appears to be good quality.

Gel assez liquide et ne tient pas longtemps.
