I wanted something with no attached speaker that would sound good plugged directly into my PA. This amp does that perfectly for me. It's so small it fits right on my pedal board. It's solid state, but has a very warm and full sound more like a tube amp. Perfect for my Les Paul I actually like it better than my Vox AC10C1. It has low, mid, and high boost or cut tone controls that are very responsive. It has a lot of bottom, so I have that cut a little, mid is flat, and high is boosted a little. It gets plenty loud through my PA but I don't run it through an external speaker so can't comment on that. There is a dedicated speaker out as well as a balanced line out that doubles as a headphone out. That jack has a toggle switch that goes from flat to cab simulated for running direct to the PA. There's also a gain control for overdrive that breaks up well. You won't get high gain metal out of it, but it's nice and crunchy for classic rock. It has an effects loop that works fine, but I prefer to run my pedals in front of the amp. The only con I've found is that the control knobs are kind wobbly and feel like they could break off easily. Other than that, I have no complaints, it's exactly what I wanted at that price point. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great emergency backup amp, though the knobs are flimsy *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2020* The features on this little box are great. The tone is pretty good considering how small it is. It won't compete with a traditional amp, but it has the horsepower to get you out of trouble if your amp fails. I like all the features, including the effects loop. It does what it says it does and the price matches ok. My only complaint is that the knobs feel like they're gonna break off. I would have paid $10 more for sturdier knobs. Doesn't matter much, I bought it, tried it out and put it away. Hopefully will never need it but feel confident if I do. Would also be good for home recording if you need an interface. I might use it for that as well. My other guitar player and I split the cost so we're both covered. A good investment. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2020* I give Quilter the credit, for a solid state micro amp head, it puts out a great, clean sound. Lots of headroom, and the tone controls work well. You can flick a switch between "vintage" and "full eq" which gives it a different voice. It is quiet and quite warm without the "restless sounds" one gets from a tube amp. With an 8ohm guitar speaker, it puts out up tp 33 watts, which is very loud with a speaker rated at 100 db as I am using. If you power a 4ohm guitar speaker, it increases the wattage to 45 watts.
