amazing product
These 3M Command strips are miraculous. They totally work as promised. It is important to follow the instructions and precautions carefully. You have to clean the attachment surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and then let the surfaces dry completely -- if any alcohol remains on a surface when you apply a strip, then the attachment will fail. You also have to press the strips very firmly, and continuously, for what may feel to you like a long time (30-60 seconds), and then let the strips set for at least an hour before applying weight. When I've followed these precautions carefully, I've always been rewarded with an amazingly solid, long-lasting, and undo-able (!) grip from the Command strips -- on every surface that I've tried, even unusual ones such as smooth plastic and pockmarked concrete. Now I use them everywhere!

Love these Command strips - no more holes in my walls
I bought these strips to hang a deer head towel ring on the side of a cabinet. The deer head itself weighs about 3 pounds, but then the consideration of a towel weight and the possibility of pulling on the ring to remove the towel had to be considered. I didn't want to put holes in the cabinet to hang the towel holder as this would limit interior shelf levels on the inside since a bolt would be needed for the installation. I decided to try these Command strips in hopes that the deer head holder wouldn't crash to the counter causing damage to the counter and possibly breaking the deer head. I have to say that so far, I am amazed. I followed the instructions on cleaning everything with alcohol and installing the strips. It was so very easy and took a lot less time than using screws and bolts. So far, my towel holder is holding beautifully. I also very much like that I can remove the strips if I want to with no damage to either the towel holder or the cabinet. I truly hate having to put holes in walls to hang pictures and other things. I am going to be using these strips for hanging anything on walls that I have to hang in the future. I used to use straight pins all the time to hang anything that wasn't very heavy since the made very small holes in the walls. My husband laughed at my obsession to prevent holes in the walls. Now I have a much better alternative - no holes at all. UPDATE 01/06/19: My deer head towel ring as been up for 9 months and still holding strong. I couldn't be happier with these Command strips. I have since bought the narrow strips for smaller and narrower wall hangings and they have worked wherever I have used them except on a newly painted wall. I guess you need to give the paint some time to adhere to the wall for some types of paints.

Works GREAT --- Came off easy!
These were actually purchased for a project I was doing.... not putting up normal decor. I wanted to be able to put a bunch of larger things on the wall for a party, but be able to take them down after the gathering was over. (and not have a bunch of holes in the wall to fill afterwards.. haha) These worked GREAT! Also, because I didn't really care about the items I was putting up (I was only concerned about the wall)... .... I was actually able to get DOUBLE the amount of command strips out of the package by cutting them in half. (The pieces that went on the frames DIDN'T have the "pull-tab" ... but the wall pieces DID) Stayed in place.... and came off the wall perfectly! Highly Recommended!!

Better end-result than nails, but not as easy as they might seem.
I used these adhesive velcro strips--two pairs of strips each--to hang a bunch of large photo frames from Costco. (The frames are 14.25 by 17.25 inches.) The nice thing about these strips is that they will give you a better end-result than hanging photos nails. They give you more precise control over the positioning, and once you place the photos, they are up and locked in place. They won't constantly be going askew when they are dusted or bumped like photos hung on nails will. So, if you're patient (and OCD), then these are for you. What they are NOT, however, is quick/easy. If you follow the instructions, you're supposed to rubbing alcohol the wall, let that dry, put up the picture in the spot you want, carefully remove it, leaving up just the velcro, push the velcro into the wall, wait an hour, then finally hang the photo again. This means a lot of measuring (and measuring the same thing multiple times), and a lot of time intervals. That means it isn't like you can just slap some photos on the wall. Also, I found I actually did a lot of damage to my wall putting these up. No, it wasn't the stickum--it was the clips on the back of the frame. You put the photo up, measure it, take it down, put it up again, push REALLY hard to get it to click into the velcro so many times that you end up scratching up the wall a good bit with the back of the frame. (At least, that happened with my frames, but I do admit they have an unusually large number of scratchy clippy things on their backs.) All of that damage was behind the photo, so it won't show until I take it down, so it's not really a big deal, and goes along with what I said--the end result is very nice. One last note--with my frames, at least, which have some give in them, it is hard to get the frame up onto the strips on the wall. I basically line up the photo where I want it and then give a sharp push--almost like trying to give the photo CPR--right over the attachment point and using all my weight. That's what it takes to get them up.

Absolutely perfect
Can't live without these things....awesome. From picture frames to heavier ceramic pieces...perfect, easy to remove and no holes. CLEAN the wall and item with vinegar water and let it dry before you attach the strips. I thinks some people are either not cleaning before they attach the strips or are using some type of detergent that leaves a residue...These will not hold properly if you do that. Follow the weight restrictions and don't try to hang up pictures that have a cardboard back....you're assuring disaster if you try that. I also would not use these on wallpaper....same problem....to porous for the strips to hold.

These have served as perfect solution for us
This is a review of the Command Picture Hanging Strips Value Pack Large White 12 Strips (You get a total of 24 individual strips in a box. Two strips minimum are needed to hang an object.) Summary โ My daughter is part of a local Roller Skating Club and I was lucky to oversee the plaque wall. The rink does not permit nails in the wall and we had to find ways to mount our items without damaging the wall. These have served as perfect solution for us. As noted in the description, these truly offer damage free hanging of your items. There is a tab on one end that you lift off if you need to remove the strip from a surface. We are constantly moving our items around and these let us do so with ease, speed and leaving no damage. Each strip measures 3โ long by ยพโ wide excluding the tab you use to remove. Each strip is rated to hold 4lbs. So using two sets on an item will give you the ability to hold 8lbs and using four sets would hold 16lbs. These are holding our light weight frames to heavy wood plaques with ease. Tips -Clean the surface before using for best results. -When installing, press and hold for approx. 30 seconds. -When removing an item from a wall, twist and pull the item up vs. trying to pull straight out. As with all my reviews, should these develop issues with ongoing use, I will update the review accordingly.

Perfect for hanging pictures!
I absolutely love these strips. Now, I've been known to have a bad time getting these to hang appropriately before. However, this time I was wise enough to full follow the directions, and realized that cleaning the surface with alcohol was key to a proper stick. I hung all f our pictures with these. Including one that was right at the max weight limit of ____, it's really sturdy! I have no worries that it will be there until we take it down, the locking plastic is really tight. It's like velcro but not fabric, it's like ultra tiny locking legos! I attached to side before ever putting it on the fram just so i could see how easy, or hard, it would be to pull them apart. It wasn't easy, that's for sure. Now I have also had to remove the strip from the wall and it came off without a hitch. The key thing to do is pull STRAIGHT down. Not down and out, like towards you. I could tell that kind of force would pull off cheap latex paint or old paint. Luckily our walls have a sturdy paint that doesn't chip easy, but we had no problems. So just make sure you pull straight down! I love these, I've begun our ambitious picture wall, with about 35 frames total. Wish us luck!

"You've got to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky?"
Cleaned area with alcohol and followed steps exactly as on the package, even went so far as to watch an instructional video about how to do it. Got to the step of carefully removed painting by lifting from the bottom upward as instructed on the package. On one strip the plastic velcro did not separate so the strip tore clean away from the wall, damaging it. The second set of strips separated. Now having a damaged strip on the wall I endeavored to remove the still mounted second strip by following the removal instructions. Pulling the tab and removing the second strip also resulted in a damaged wall when attempting to remove it carefully. Seeing that the pain was peeling off and damaging the wall, I proceed to try and use a putty knife to try and do anything to stop the damage. Entirely unsuccessful. I cannot urge consumers strongly enough against using this product. You might loose the lottery and do all sorts of damage to your walls as many of the people in these reviews. Or you might be just fine and have a perfect experience like the others. But with a nail and a hanger, you know exactly what the cleanup and removal process will be. So you gotta ask yourself...do you feel lucky punk? EDIT: Added Images First image shows the last strip removed from the wall taking paint with it even after slowly pulling down the tab. Pulling it straight down only led to the sound of the wall being damaged and pulling away. It only started on the top section, but even with a putty knife and more gentle pulling it still damaged the wall. The second image is after pulling the very light painting away from the wall, bottom first as instructed. You can clearly see how one strip separated and the other did not. Third photo is to show the difference between the two. Clearly something went wrong with this product. Just use nails if you don't want to gamble and want an easy fix.

Great buy
Though its pricy, this has been the best thing I've bought for my home. Through these strips, three frames remain intact for the last 4 months on my wall. One frame fell down though but the others are absolutely fine. This is surely the best option if your landlords stop you from drilling their walls.

You can take them out easily
I used it for hanging pictures and it worked perfectly. I also used it for fitting other things (not too heavy) and it was fine. When you need to take them out is is easily done without damaging the paint on the wall.
