Review: Brilliant beginner kit - I bought this for my daughter. It did take a bit of time setting up and getting all the various bars connected and tightened properly took a bit of time. But it was all easy enough and required a bit of patience connecting all the pieces. But the quality and the easy to follow instructions were excellent. If you are looking to start out on drums, this is a great compact little electronic drum kit that provides good quality sounds. The month supplied access to lessons is actually also quite good and after playing around a bit, got it working on an iPad. I did try this on a Windows 10 laptop using a USB cable, but this didn't work very well and got a little frustrated trying to get the kit to be recognised on the laptop. But the moment I connected this to an iPad, it worked straight away. So I would recommend this to anyone looking to not break the bank account and wanting to get started with playing drums with some easy to start lessons.
Review: Great bit of kit - We got this for our 10 year old son who is doing drum lessons. Building was a pain in the bum but once built the are very sturdy and strong. The wires could do with a little more give in them but all just reached. It was larger than I expected and not so easy to fold away so will end up staying up and taking up more room, if you want quiet dont let your kids take drums full stop as you can hear him especiallythe foot peddles. All this said my boy loves them they have everything he has on his lessons the sound is amazing and he has been on them for days and days, it has the timing and lots and lots of other things for him to do now at his level but also when he does progress he can link a laptop to it and do other things also. We did by him the matching headphones to them and he has tested them to his gaming headset and he says that the alesis head set is better for the drum set, he wanted these over all others as they have the same positioning as a real drum set and the same sound and feel .being un musical myself i didnt have a clue so his music teacher gave us a list of sets but recommended these and over all well worth the money.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Hi, is this suitable for a student studying grade 5 drums? Thanks**
A: I'm not sure. My son saved up for them but when I researched drum kits via drumming magazines forums etc they seemed to be by far the best for your money. Our friend who drums in bands and teaches thought they were suitable for use until considering investing in a full drum kit for professional use ie if he wants to be in a band he needs something more than these!

**Q: Can I link my computer to the drum kit and change the sounds of the drums through that?**
A: Yes you can. The drum pads can be used as a midi device to trigger other sounds

**Q: Does this come with 3 cymbols i.e two crashes and a ride?**
A: Hello, thanks for your interest in our products! No, it comes with 3 cymbals, but it is a hi-hat, a crash and a ride.
Kind regards
Alesis Customer Support

**Q: I have got this set and was wondering if you can add the bass peddle and bass pad and they work with this model?**
A: Hi, Alesis support here! Turbo Mesh Kit does not feature the ability to add a bass pad, we recommend using Nitro Mesh Kit which includes a bass pad straight out of the box!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for beginners
*by M***K on 3 January 2020*

Bought this for my son as a Xmas present as he has been learning the drums at school for a few months. Was super easy to put together and comes with easy to read instructions. The mesh heads feel really smooth and responsive when hit and the built in functions make learning and improving fun and easy. I especially like the built in metronome with added timing indicator which shows you if your going too fast or too slow. This kit is almost silent when headphones are plugged in, however we do hear some pounding from the foot pedals when we are downstairs as the kit is in my sons upstairs bedroom, but other than that it is silent and my son loves practicing on it. The only one negative we have come across is that the snare drum is sometimes unresponsive when hit, we are unsure yet whether this is due to the way my son is hitting it or whether there is a fault with that pad. We will see in time. All in all a very good starter kit for beginners to learn on and great value for money
