Pelican Storm iM2875 Case With Foam (Black)

Thanks to another reviewer, we got this to hold an All Steady 5 from Turbo Ace (3-axis gimbal). It is easily able to fit the all steady, some additional gear, and a fold-up stand for the gimbal. The latches on this thing are amazing, they're very tight fitting but they release with the press of a button. Compared to their latches on say their TSA-sized case, this is awesome! The wheels are a must for something this size. It is quite large.I kind of wish Pelican made something about this size, but not quite as deep. There are 3-4 layers (from memory) of foam in this case for those of you storing other items in layers if you are able to do that. I never regret buying pelican cases. They're absolutely indestructible and while they have some trade offs (such as needing to buy new foam when you change it's ocontents), they're well worth it if what you're protecting is worth a decent amount of cash - especially if you are on the road or running around at weddings :).

This is an excellent case. We bought several for my company which often has to fly with electrical test equipment. These boxes are light weight from the start allowing us to pack more things in each case compared to the Hardigg cases that we were using before. They are very durable, and the latches are excellent. Pelican lifetime warranty is the best. We have had some parts of the case break due to abuse, and Pelican just sends us the new parts to replace the broken parts. These are of excellent quality and value. If you want to keep something safe, this is the ticket.

Perfect for medical equipment transport when we flew this summer. I cut the foam for my husband's Dialysis machine to fit snugly and was able to fit a lot of supplies in with it too. Hid a GPS tracker inside and labeled it well and it arrived in great shape and looks like no one bothered it.

I it use to secure my valuable accordion as checked luggage on flights. There are similar copycat products. Pelican has a world reputation....Spend a little more not just for the name brand, but for peace of mind of your valuables not being damaged especially on international trips!

You'll like "Pelican Products, Inc. guarantees its products for a lifetime against breakage" BUT down below they also say not if "subjected to abuse, misuse, negligence or accident and this includes from airline and transportation (trucking)." I discovered that if it breaks, they define the use as abuse. Mine split open during shipping and they didn't ask anything about what happened, just denied. If it's not good for shipping, what is it good for?! Must not be a rare failure or they'd cover it. In other words, a broken case, worthless guarantee.

It protected our prototype from Canada to China with ease. The square foam made it easy to adjust around the content without a custom insert. Well made though unit!
