The cover is extremely thin as are the pages - the pages feel only slightly better than magazine pages. I have a bunch of this collection in my kids' book list, but not sure I'm actually going to buy more as the quality is really lacking. Was very surprised to have received Scholastic books of this quality. Definitely won't pay full price for anything in this collection. He wanted an eagle bookmark at a craft fair and so I surreptitiously bought it and a couple small books on eagles to go with it as part of his Christmas gift. The thing he really wanted was the Angry Birds Mighty Eagle - a real investment, but thanks to Amazon and Prime membership, I was able to get that too for much less than I had previously seen it. So the eagle gift is complete!!
