Perhaps unfortunately, most bread these days seems to come in a wider format. They don't fit. On the plus side, there are only two controls, one lever to put the bread down, and one knob to control the degree of burnt. If one needs to stop the run early, that is done by turning the knob all the way to the left. It cooks evenly enough if the bread happens to fit. The toaster itself is kind of light.
