These pineapple chunks are candied. The sugar content in each 40 gram serving is 30 grams, which is 3/4 of the weight!! Compare to Nut Cravings All Natural Dried Pineapple, which has 9 grams of sugar in a 28 gram serving, or just under 1/3 of the weight. That's just natural pineapple with no added sugar. These chunks are like eating candy, but not quite as sweet as pure candy. They also don't have the nice acidity that's in the Nut Cravings brand. Disappointed. Going back to Nut Cravings. These will have to go on the freebies counter at work.

These dried pineapple chunks definitely taste like sugar was added. Why would a human being add sugar to pineapple? That's sugar on top of sugar. If pineapple is not sweet enough, that's sad. This product is liked by my household, but I have not made a definitive decision until now. It is not for me. Each time I try it I feel like I am eating candy. The fact that it's sold by a place with candy in their name is a clue. Still, I wanted to believe the ingredients which don't list any added sugar. If these do in fact have added sugar, law mandates it be included in the ingredients.

The label should have been dried pineapple. I wanted candied pineapple, which I found in the cherries. And I did not want green candied pineapple, either. Very deceptive label. Wasted money. Does anyone know if I could cook these down some to get the sugar off and make them candied? Or would it just ruin them completely? Deceptive labeling.

These are very fresh tasting, although dried. Keeps well in the refridgerator. Well priced.

its not real dried fruit like trader joes. its basicly pineapple chunks that coated with sugers , >>''no suger added'' << lol its only taste like suger very very sweet no any taste of pine apple at all.

Too dry. I'm looking for the moist dried pineapple that DOLE made (I can't find it anymore in the stores but it's moist like some dried apricots and those are delicious. I'll have to keep looking.

For no sugar added, these are still too sweet to eat on their own. Taste similar to most other dried pineapple.
