I really like this card reader because it has two different connectors, allowing me to use it with both my PC and my phone. That makes it much more convenient than carrying separate adapters. One time my dashcam captured footage of a crash, and this made it easy to remove the microSD card, transfer the footage, and send it directly to the people involved. Having the ability to quickly access files from either my computer or phone is incredibly useful. The reader is also very compact and portable, so it's easy to keep in a bag, car, or desk drawer. Despite its small size, it feels sturdy and well made. Transfer speed will naturally depend on the memory card and the files you're working with, but for my use, it has been fast and reliable. Overall, the functionality, portability, and convenience make this a great little accessory, and I would definitely recommend it.

I used this today and it was very good. Having two caps for USB C and standard USB was helpful. I was able to transfer files really quickly, so the speed is excellent. The look and also the feel felt very solid, compared to my previous old USB SD adapter which works but does not feel as good quality as this one. I plugged it in and it worked immediately, no drivers needed. It was easy to plug in, and of course, it is a reader, so it does not contain any storage. I would definitely buy another one of these and do not regret my purchase.

Great for windows laptop, but I have to remove my phone case for it to work on my iPhone.

this is perfect for me it's so cheap,portble and nice looking it works great for me.The card reader has an USB-C and USB-A port makes it easy to use old and new labtops, so i can use my schools computers. Super easy to use, great to transfer photos and videos onto your laptop.Though it is a little ruff puting in the sd card, but that shouldn't be a problem.Now i did some research and i'll tell you the pros and cons so you'll know if this is for you without further ado! PROS * Works with both modern USB-C devices and USB-A ports. * Can access SD and MicroSD cards at the same time you don't need to swich the cards out each time. * USB 3.0 supports up to 5Gbps—10x faster than USB 2.0. makes moveing files faster. *Esay to bring with you were ever you go. *Way to cheap! CONS * It only supports UHS-I speeds, so if you're useing SD cards (like for 4K video), it may slow down your transfer rates. * No card lock so card can fall out (though i don't think that will happen it never happend to me) * No led Indicator you can only tell if you'r card is being read through you'r laptop or computer(don't have a problem with this my laptop tells me it's being read). *Some say not to strong ( i think it won't brake that fast). To me the pros win it's up to you but if i were you i would get it.

So far, the device seems to be of good quality and works perfectly on my phone, a Samsung S10+; it's best to use the phone's built-in Files app. The speed isn't great, but it's sufficient for my needs. I'll use it to download videos from my dashcam, since these come with terrible apps, so having this reader in the vehicle will be a great help in case of an incident. It was very affordable and arrived very quickly. I'll update the review if I have any further issues.

Stuck the USB-C side of this UGREEN up into the Pixel 8 phone's jack. MicroSD card is in the UGREEN, and the microSD card shows up in the phone's native Files app. (Use Notifications to "eject" the UGREEN from the phone.) So far so good, except I couldn't find if the File app has a function to Move stuff from the phone's memory to the MicroSD card. Figures it can display the external card, but there's no transfer function. Found a 'File to SD Card' app, which has precious little ads, and works fairly intuitively to do transfers. I'll have to give them 5 stars, too. So far, with UGREEN's help, I got the phone from 5 GB free to 60 GB free. 190 GB to go. The UGREEN warms up just sitting inactive in the phone's (or the chromebook's) USB jack. When the data transfer gets going, the UGREEN gets even hotter -- hotter than any device that I own, including wall transformers. Not hot enough to burn my fingers, but it surprises me. The phone has four seasons of a TV show that total about 62 GB. App said it would take 30 minutes to transfer. After 15 GB, the file-moving app crashed, exited, disappeared. Was that some self protection inside the microSD card from getting tooooo hot? Or the app lost its breath? Or the UGREEN has its own heat protection? I don't know. I also don't know if the assorted operating systems will magically assure that no data will be lost when I restart the transfer? Have I learned to transfer no more than a couple of GB at a time, instead of hugemongous 62 GB, assuming that "Nothing can go wrong?" I've noticed that the Moving app erases the source files as the last step, only after the transfer is complete. So, it wouldn't cost much if I just restarted the Move operation form the beginning. Obviously, the UGREEN has no through-power (or whatever it's officially called), so when it's hanging from your cellphone doing transferring operations, you'll be using battery power. I didn't time anything; maybe a move runs around a GB per minute. Last time I tried that on Windows, it took hours per GB, so whatever the exact numbers, I'm not complaining. After reaching maximum temperature and crashing the Move app, I removed the UGREEN from the phone 10 minutes ago, and it's already 100% back to room temperature. It may get hot, but it apparently radiates its heat efficiently. If I had an infrared thermometer, I'd love to know how hot the UGREEN really gets. I'd google if the temperature isn't outside the limits of what microSD cards are supposed to be able to endure. It's a lot of data. Next step is to back up the microSD card. I have full sized SD cards in my toolbox, and the UGREEN can hold a micro and a full-sized card, which should be convenient for backing up the data. But I'll see if processing two cards in the single UGREEN doesn't result in the UGREEN melting down into a conflagration.

これまでmicroSDはSDカード変換アダプタかUSB Type A変換アダプタで利用していたものの、スマホのType Cにも挿したいと考えていたのでType Aアダプタ更新も兼ねて購入しました。 コレが一つあればPCにもスマホにも使えて便利です。外観もシックな見た目でチープさは感じません。本体はアルミ筐体で丈夫そう。両端の保護キャップはしっかりはまり、勝手に抜ける心配はありません。強いて言えば、キャップの大きさに差はあるものの、区別がし辛い気がします。誤った方にはめようとしてもスコスコではまらないため、そのときに誤りに気付くといった具合です。Type C側は他製品のようにスマホカバー越しの挿入を考慮した長さはなさそうなので、分厚いカバーを使用している場合は挿し込めないかもしれません。また、microSDの挿入方向を示す表示が欲しいと感じたので、これは油性ペンで手描きしました(2枚目写真参照)。 細かい改善希望はあるものの、長く使えそうなので☆５としました。

An meinem PC belegt er nur den vorgesehenen Slot und blockiert keine benachbarten Anschlüsse – das Problem hatte ich bei breiteren Adaptern leider schon öfter. Geschwindigkeit & Performance: In Sachen Geschwindigkeit erfüllt der Kartenleser voll meine Erwartungen. Die Übertragung von Fotos und Videos geht zügig und ohne Abbrüche vonstatten. Man merkt hier deutlich die USB 3.0 Performance. Kompatibilität: Ich nutze den Leser hauptsächlich an meinem PC und an meinem Tablet. An beiden Geräten wurde er sofort ohne Probleme erkannt ("Plug & Play"), es mussten keine Treiber oder ähnliches installiert werden. Die Flexibilität durch den USB-C und den normalen USB-A Anschluss ist im Alltag extrem praktisch. Fazit: Ein top verarbeiteter, kompakter Kartenleser, der genau das tut, was er verspricht. Für den Preis absolut empfehlenswert für jeden, der regelmäßig SD- oder Micro-SD-Karten ausliest.

It works, the form factor is nice and the ability to use usb a or usb c in a card reader is great but the large sd card slot has a really sharp edge and will cut skin.
