I have extremely sensitive skin on my neck and thick, coarse hair, and I can really only get three shaves out of a cartridge before I start to get noticeably irritated from shaving. I have to shave daily, and I shave at night in order to give my neck maximum time to recover before putting a dress shirt and tie on the next day. I had been using Gillette Mach 3 Turbo and paying plenty for it, so I thought I would test out the two-blade system hoping for even less irritation and at a really good price. Here's what I thought: Positives: 1. The price. You really can't beat it. Even at Costco, I was still paying more than $2 per cartridge. Here? Almost half that. 2. Quality. On the fourth shave, I started to notice a deterioration in the quality of the shave, but I still managed to get a shave out of it with minimal irritation. I have a beard, so I only need to shave my neck. After digging around I discovered that Dorco supplied Dollar Shave Club with the razor blades and handles they sold. A few friends of mine were DSC members and raved about the products. I figured for the price I'd give the Dorco razors a try. I'm SO HAPPY that I did! This razor shaves as good, if not better than the Gillette I've been using all these years, at 1/3 the price. I'm throwing away my Sensor razor for good. The handle is plastic, but not a cheesey feeling plastic. The blade attaches easily, and comes off easily. Just shaving my neck I probably get a good 8/9 uses out of each blade. This package comes with 10 blades if I remember correctly, and I've still got 3 blades left. I only shave 3x a week, so I probably have 5/6 weeks worth of shaving before I'll need to buy replacement cartridges (unless the wife uses the razor). I'm extremely happy with this product. My skin is sensitive, and cheap razors will shred my face up, I'll break out, and will cut my face to ribbons. The dorco didn't do that at all. The shave is smooth and clean. No nicks at all, even around the trouble areas like my Adams apple. The shave is good going with and against the grain. I don't have to go over parts of my neck repeatedly to get all the hair shaved. My wife even commented that I looked a little more clean cut after using the Dorco. Why only 4 stars for a product that I'm obviously thrilled with? Well, dorco sells 2 to 6 blade razor cartridges. Any 3 blade to 6 blade cartridge fits any other dorco handle EXCEPT the 2 blade handle. So if you bought a 6 blade system but wanted to try the 4 or 5 blade razor you could just buy the cartridge and it would fit the 6 blade handle you have already. But if you get the 2 blade handle like I have and wanted to try the 4 blade cartridge. I'll have to buy a whole new handle to go along with the new razor blades. While I am thrilled with the shave I get, and the price I'm paying, I did have to ding them for that issue. If you want a GREAT SHAVE at HALF (or more) what you are paying for the big name brand razors, buy this shaving system. As experienced by at least a couple of reviewers, the blade would not stay attached to the handle. First, it was a bit difficult (at least for my eyes) to see exactly where/how the blade attached to the handle. Once I figured it out and thought it was secure, when I went to use it, the blade quickly fell off. I tried several times with the same result. Then I noticed that the piece the spring pushes on had fallen off and the button was no longer spring actuated. In order to get a shave (since this is the only razor I currently have), I had to put the blade in, then try to hold down the button so that the blade stayed put, while awkwardly drawing the blade across my chin. I'm off to buy another more well known brand.
