Are there advantages?** A: First, you'd also need the adapter which is an extra 20 bucks or so. That might be a dealbreaker for you already. If not, there's a couple of reasons. Second, this controller is the way Smash was "made" to be played. Specifically, it was the controller that started it all with Smash moving to the popular and competitive scene. This controller's button layout is designed specifically for the mechanics of the game. The larger A button is easier to touch for your more common attacks. The smaller B button is for less commonly used special attacks. And, depending on whether you prefer to use the control to jump, the Y and X buttons surround the A button making combining aerial attacks more intuitive. Third, this controller tends to be more "smash friendly" unlike the pro controller. The pro controller (which I also own) follows the design of the Xbox 360 controller which feels really nice, but is really set up with opposing thumbsticks, uniform buttons, and shallower hand grips for ease of use in games different from smash (such as first and third-person shooters). Finally, compared to the regular switch controller (whether you're using the charging dock or the regular controller dock), there is no contest. The switch controller tends to make it difficult to play for extended periods of time. Additionally, the smaller buttons make for more difficult precise combinations. All of this is on top of the fact that the gamecube controller is one of the most durable controllers ever made (not hyperbole - the gamecube came out in 2001 and I've STILL got controllers from that era that work, and they've been dropped, thrown, and yanked out of the system). Las notches vainilla que tiene son perfectas para hacer shieldrops en Melee Dashbacks parece estar al 90% (a la izquierda no hacer el smash turnaround siempre) Los gatillos se sienten duros pero poner light shield o hacer ledgedash se siente bien Obviamente son mejores los controles originales no Smash, pero dado que por fin tenemos controles nuevos oficiales vale la pena probarlos, en el caso de querer usarlos para Smash for Wii U o Smash Ultimate están perfectos en todo aspecto.
