Can you trim down the flexible hoses if they are too long?

it might be possible , however i would not cut them if they are to long because you cannot return it if you cut on it .

How would you fit your dishwasher drain into this system? Is it possible?

Purchase a drain adapter with dishwasher "T" at your local hardware store. This piece fits between the bottom of the sink drain and the Flex Trap slips onto it. The adapter runs about $6.

For people that have had this for a year or two, how is it in the long run as far as food getting stuck in the ridges of the piping?

I've had this for just over a year and had my first clog. Went to take it loose and had to pull on it a little and it cracked in half. Needless to say I wasn't too pleased...

Can it be used with just one sink/disposal? Does it have to be a double sink?
