It allows me to open and close this door on a timer or shut the timer off if need be, all remotely. I honestly cannot comment on the RF range because I simply do not use the included remotes, the wifi just works too well to bother with them.Using the 12v version to control a door on a chicken run. It allows me to let the chickens free range while I am at work. Winter days are too short and it is dark before I can get home to let them free.Works great, thinking about buying a couple more of the 12v and a couple of the 110v for other projects. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works for home alarm system *by R***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2021* Was integrated into a SmartLife/SmartThings/Alexa system, directly into the SmartLife app without any other application. Used as the trigger for a home alarm system and is mounted into an alarm/camera system power supply metal box, which is mounted outdoors under a 2nd story roof overhang.Overall this has worked very well, with only two minor complaints. One, it lost connectivity to my network twice in the 5 or so months that I've owned it, requiring me to climb out onto my roof and unwire it from the power supply box, then re-pair it into the SmartLife app. (Not cool.) But because you can never really say what causes that to happen, (smart home apps are notoriously glitchy), I can't directly fault the device for it. It hasn't done it in about 4 months, so there's that.Secondly, the remote keychain buttons that come with it really aren't great things to keep on key chains. Twice now I've given myself heart failure (and probably my neighbors too because my alarm is LOUD) by bending over with my keys in my pocket and also hooked to my belt. I thought having the fob on my keychain would be good to have, but I've since removed them.Overall, five stars. It's never failed to trigger when tested numerous times through SmartLife and Alexa, the remote fobs work (perhaps a little too well for me), and it hasn't disconnected in the past four months despite being in a metal box mounted to the roof. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mixed reviews but i do like product *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2020* Both good and false. Good part it does work input wires +postive - negative voltage from a power supply 5v-24v. Not included. Bad parts. Will not power on when directly connected to output wires 24v to keypad on garage door opener. Also bad part you cannot change rf switch to momentary. However if you split output wires to go to both keypad and garage door opener motor on two wire terminals it does operate as it is supposed to. You just press switch once to open. 2nd to turn switch back to off on smart life app. Now third button press closes door. Then forth time press turns switch back to ready position. No inching function or momentary Just on or off. Instructions are garbage wifi instructions fine but nothing for rf functions.
