I bought 2 of em. I wish the weight rating were higher but at the same time, i could probably lose a few pounds, sooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm like 270ish and on hardwood, this thing rolls around great. if you're heavy and on carpet, just lift yourself up a bit when moving and you'll spare the wheels some agony. Also it is comfortable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ kitchen stool *by J***O on January 20, 2013* One draw back using this is over-reaching when seated on it. I did this and landed on our tile floor and could have hurt myself worse than I did if I had something hot in my hands at the time. The stool shot out behind me and I really landed hard. The other drawback is slipping on the seat if you are not centered properly. I plan on attaching a pull strap underneath so I can pull the stool under me to sit onto the middle of the seat. Otherwise you tend to sit on the edge and this can be dangerous. I use it quite a bit in the kitchen while preparing meals and baking. Having severe arthritis I needed something that helped me eliminate getting up and down a lot. I think brakes would be useful if you remember to disengage them every time you wanted to move.
