No Reservations

I just rewatched No Reservations and honestly, it’s such a cozy, feel-good movie. Catherine Zeta-Jones plays this super talented chef who’s all about control—until life throws her a curveball when she has to take care of her niece. Then Aaron Eckhart shows up as this fun, laid-back sous-chef who totally shakes things up. What I really loved was the mix of cooking scenes (yep, the food looks amazing!) and the way the story balances humor with some heartfelt moments. It’s the kind of movie that’s perfect for a chill night in when you want something sweet but not too heavy. If you like romantic comedies with a little extra flavor (literally!), I’d definitely recommend giving No Reservations a watch.

Great movie. Super cute.

Although overdramatic on the weight of the “heartstring pulling”, in my opinion, where it comes to the child, the overall story is a great look into complexity while still remaining relatable. Nicely matched couple of leads, and the irony was the under current of “out playing” eachother in craft. Would watch again if it fit the mood.

Hands down one of the best movies in early 2000s. Even my dad likes it despite not being a chick flick fan :)

Good movie, worth the cost. I enjoyed something different for a change.

This one is going to be a classic among women who like their romance sweet and sensible and their stories familiar but fun. I hope someone is paying attention because Eckhart and Zeta-Jones could be the Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan pairing for the 21st century. It's a bit of a stretch seeing him as an opera buff, but other than that, he's flawless. His acting is directly on point and the character is written as a hero with a modern sensibility - not quite a metrosexual, but not the strong silent type either. He expresses his feelings openly in a wonderfully sexy way. Catherine Zeta-Jones is pleasant in her part, in that odd way she has of seeming like an every-woman character in spite of her stunning looks. You feel as if you've known this character. The story line with the sister is predictably sad and played for effect, but the little girl is a scene stealer - she's entirely believable. Some of the antics at the restaurant stretch your ability to suspend disbelief, but it's never so over the top that you can't see it happening that way in a place much better than you've ever worked in. It's all tied up in the requisite but perfect happy ending. I'll watch this one over and over and it's one I'll make all my girlfriends watch, too.

きれいにまとまったよいお話だと思いました。 主演のキャサリン・ゼタ=ジョーンズ、アーロン・エッカート、アビゲイル・ブレスリン、 ３人の人間模様がよく伝わってきました。 高飛車なシェフとひとりの女という狭間で苦慮する主人公。 拍車をかける姪の存在。 キャサリン・ゼタ=ジョーンズが、かわいく美しく魅了的に演じていました。 ラストも粋でカッコよかったと思います。 しかしですね、それだけなんですね。 深い感動を覚えた訳でもなく、泣ける作品だった訳でもなく。 気楽なＴＶスペシャルドラマって感じの後味ですね。 傑作なんだけどそれだけ。 レンタルで一度見たらもういいでしょう。 ＤＶＤを所有して繰り返し観たい作品ではないですね。ボクには… ドアの割り箸「おてもと」っていったい…

La película es una drama aderezado con estos toques antes mencionados. Una película que se va en un suspiro, es muy agradable y la puede disfrutar todo tipo de público. El único extra que contiene es ``Detrás de la historia''. Muy recomendable y a un precio muy asequible.
