パットメセニーグルーブの集大成とも言える作品。ポップで明快、癒しも備えたパットメセニーグルーブのサウンドは、都会的で洗練されたセンスの塊。アルバム、ファーストサークルから４作品を経て送り出された大作。約一時間全部一曲。交響曲のよう。前作までのテイストを求めたファンには変化球過ぎた。しかし、聴けば聴くほど奥深い。何度でも聴ける。

現時点でPat Metheny Groupの最後の作品（その後このツアーのライヴ映像はあるが）。PatはいずれPat Metheny Groupを再始動させるとは言っているが、その後のいろんなプロジェクトのアルバムは正直つまらない。最近来日したプロジェクトのライヴも見たが、あのメンバーで何をやりたいのか全くわからない（演奏自体は素晴らしかったが）。このアルバム以降は彼の有り余る才能を彼自身が無駄遣いしているようにしか感じられない。
