A: No it is not the same housing. you have to use the rotary blade housing for the rotary blade which is not sold separately and only comes with the cricut maker.

I had the scoring pen but found it didn’t score deep enough so invested in the wheel when it was on sale. Def glad I did my score lines are much deeper and crisp. Just remember to select the single wheel on tools as often projects using DS are set up for the double wheel.

I was trying to get hold of one of these for ages, but Cricut do not yet supply them in the UK, hence buying it on the global store. So much nicer and more accurate than using the scoring stylus - would recommend.
