The 2 handles are the only thing I like about this jug. But I received one with factory defects, so I'll be trying to do a return or at least get a replacement.The issues:-Right out of the box the little plastic retaining strap that attaches the vent cap to the jug was broken. I tried to pop it back together but it simply doesn't stay.-It leaks at the vent cap. The plastic seam of the jug has not been smoothed out where the vent cap tightens down to create a seal, so no matter how tight I screw the vent cap down it still leaks.-It also leaks at the filler cap. Whoever put the plug into the cap at the factory crossthreaded it and absolutely massacred the threads beyond repair.Other things to note:I tested this with water only, thankfully. It's a good idea to test these with water for leaks before filling them with hazardous liquids(let the water dry out 1st).I don't believe it pours as well as the VP cans, because of how they've designed the vent. The vent cap has to be removed all the way, rather than just loosened to create a good flow, and this makes liquid splash out the vent opening. With the VP cans there is good pour flow just by loosening the vent cap.It's tall and thin and doesn't have a large footprint, which gives it a very high center of gravity. This makes it tipsy when full and even more likely to topple over than the VP cans(which also have a high center of gravity when full, but this one is even worse). This means you'll need to find a way to strap it down if you want it to stay upright in your vehicle(and with the leaky caps maybe that would be a necessity!).Tip:The plug in the cap requires a huge hex drive, unlike the VP jugs, which use a 1/2" square drive. I'm not sure why they designed it like that--I don't have a hex wrench even close to that large. So, I took a dime and a pair of pliers and spun it out... then I realized whoever put the plug in in the 1st place destroyed the threads, both on the plug and the cap.The bottom line: I can't recommend this because of the quality control issues. It seems like it was put together by an overworked and underpaid person who simply didn't care to do the job to build it properly. If it had no factory defects I might give it 3 out of 5 stars. I am disappointed the vent design doesn't work better, but I'm not sure that's a deal killer in its own right. In my opinion, as an overall product, this isn't "better" than the VP jugs, although the 2nd handle is very nice when lifting it. But again: the quality control issues...edit: added some pics and a few more details, so just a Recap:Just to go over again what was wrong with this and how it was shipped to me defective:-strap to retain vent cap broken away from vent cap-vent cap leaks because of flashing material left on seam of jug where vent cap seals(they should have smoothed this at the factory. I suppose someone could try to smooth it out with sandpaper or something, but a brand new jug shouldn't be a project like that.)-The plug threads and filler cap threads where the plug fits were destroyed by whoever put it together at the factory. My guess is they were using a power driver and crossthreaded it, but it could have to do with how the threads were made--I have no idea for sure(I have a feeling the vent and fill caps were manufactured totally separate from whoever made the jug itself--the jug says made in USA, the caps might be cheap imports. No way to know for sure). These types of threads are delicate when in plastic like this--whenever I attach something to the threaded hole in my other jugs like this(VP brand) I always lube the threads and make sure not to cross thread them at all, with minimal very light torque applied.The only other issue I have with this (which isn't a product defect so much as a design flaw) is that the flow rate isn't very good because of how the vent is designed. These are designed to be poured with the vent cap just loosened, not totally removed(because liquid will spill out when pouring if totally removed), and when this one is just loosened it doesn't allow enough air into the vent to create a satisfactory flow rate.The multiple issues with the jug make it a disappointing purchase, and I was hoping this would be a better jug than the VP brand, because I'm not crazy about those, but they are workable. I suppose both of the caps could've been replaced on this and the raised seam area sanded smooth and that could've made the jug functional, but it's just not worth the trouble to try to make this work--it'd would still have the unsatisfactory pour flow because of the vent design. You can tell this product really disappointed me. If it had worked out I would have bought 5 more. I would certainly pass on this product.
