(won't bore you with details other than to say i have older cats and also some issues of my own i want to keep on top of) for what i paid, i got better than i honestly expected from a "kid's toy". sure it's not professional grade but i can hear what i need to pretty easy. i was able to tell one of my "girls" needed to go to the vet for a watery sound in her left lung with no trouble. It fall apart pretty easyIf I will have took my time. I will have purchased one in CVS which was about the same price for a low quality real one. The only reason I didn't rate it for 5 stars, is because it's actually very tight on the ears. I'm not sure if it will loosen up as we use it, so we'll see. As for the durability and level of fun/education it's really great. I bought it for my kids for Christmas and they love it. You can hear your heart very good.
