I got the black one, without any cushioning, which is exactly what I wanted, because it will be used outdoors. It’s a matte textured metal with a good weight to it. I am very, very impressed, especially at this price. Pictures does not do it justice. I paid just under $45 for a set of 4 (before tax)! You can’t beat that! I expect this to last for many many years.

**Q: How much weight do they hold,and what is the seat height**
A: Per Cosco Products website,  these chairs have a 250 pound use rate. Product Measurements

**Q: Are they weight-rated?  Will they hold adults 200 lbs + ?**
A: I don't see any official markings that list a weight rating, but we routinely use them as overflow and outdoor seating for adults at cookouts and dinners.

**Q: What is the seat height?**
A: Sorry I took so long to answer but the chairs are standard height . I am not able to measure them because they are at a different location.

**Q: Are these chairs strong enough to hold a big person**
A: Mine said 250 lbs on the bottom. I’m about 300 and after 5 years I just started to use chair #4, as the rivet holding one side of the chair wore out.
