I do know, the size is different for a 1 gallon filter vs 4 gallon filter wet/dry vac. Does Porter Cable offer their own brand or type ? Do we need to change filters when switching from wet to dry cleaning?** A: Yes, this is the only one that you use for liquids. When vacuuming dry materials, you need to either use the blue cloth filter OVER the foam filter, or you can use a brown paper disposable dust bag.
