I have always used a wooden square face mallet to drive my chisels which I got from Grizzly. I am not sure how to tightening them, or if I can tighten them. I have been using them to chisel out and carve a large wooden (pine) sculpture for class for a couple weeks now - so not really a lot of abuse.
