This is a compatible/replacement for the Nexstar GPS; CGE programming cable which allows update and upgrade of built in firmware of GPS and CGE telescope. Latest update and upgrade of these telescopes is available from the manufacturer's web site. This is a 93922 compatible programming cable required to update and update the firmware in the NexStar 8/11 GPS telescopes. Please note that #93920 RS-232 serial cable is a computer control cable and is not used for update or upgrade Nexstar GPS telescopes. Please see my other auction for the computer control cable. Color and Style of cable and adapter may vary.

Works fine with my CGE (both of them).  William, did you actually use the "PC Port" or did you try to plug into one of the other ports?  The PC Port is an RJ45 port, which is 8 pin ethernet standard, just like this cable...
