The application of the Tanglefoot adhesive is quite simple but plan on using multiple disposable gloves. My only suggestion is there should be longer ties to attach the spheres to branches -- I made my own. The company doesn't provide a reason for why these spheres should only be a few inches from the branches. Are the insects that smart? It seems leaving them more exposed say by dropping down 8-10 inches would work best. Basic string or even two 12" zip ties work well. I suspect that they will not survive and feel just awful about it. Please do not use these traps as they can harm and kill small birds.My traps also seem to have failed to catch any codling moths - my apples are full of grubs not a single moth on the trap.
