Electrifying, musically brilliant, and wonderfully fantastic. Big Hero 6 is firmly planted in the fantasy world combo San Francisco and Tokyo where technology rules making Henry Jackman the perfect choice to score this film. Jackman does a magnificent job of mixing joy, sorrow, comedy, and drama with each and very scene. He managed to find a balance between traditional instrumentation and electronics like guitar or siren-esqe sounds that really set the tone and style for the movie while giving the scenes heroic qualities. My favorite tracks are Microbots which makes me feel as if I am at real expo, Test Flight, and Reboot. They are fun and moving and a great mix of instrumentation all across the board. If you are a fan of the movie, film scores, or Henry Jackman you really should get this album. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good, but not great *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2015* Something is "off" about this OST. It goes well with the movie, granted. It fits the scenes, yes. It has high production quality, yes. But it's missing a life of its own. There are not any identifiable repeating motifs that continue throughout. Take Wreck-It-Ralph, there are key little patterns of music (the motifs) that are used and re-used and subtilly changed. They bring characters into the songs. They tie all the songs together. You can pick any song at random and very soon identify the movie just by the melodies and motifs. With BH6, I can't. I can only identify the songs as belonging to BH6 because I've watched the movie numerous times and have the OST in the car with my kids. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Purchased for my toddler and it was very well-received. *by G***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2016* Bought this for my toddler, who is a rabid fan of the movie. The soundtrack consists of the main theme song by Fallout Boy and the rest of consists entirely of musical scores from the movie. I didn't think my son would enjoy the musical scores, but he immediately recognized them. This is a fantastic soundtrack for long car rides. Whenever he gets bored or cranky, I turn it on and he is immediately mesmerized.
