I wanted to wait until I was able to make a trip or two and see how the light performed. After two trips I can say the light performed well. And the first one I would give five stars.So I ordered a second UV Beast. Got it in the mail the same day I had a night trip planned. (let me state that they are packaged really well, and include a pair of UV protective glasses).However, the second light does not share the same quality the first one had. Upon using the light I found that the newer light was much brighter, less UV and more flashlight. The first one performs better at detecting the mineral sodalite. The one that has a darker light works better. The new one, which casts a brighter beam, works too much like a flashlight.If it were not for that flaw I would give this product 5 stars across the board. I still recommend this light, though I also purchased a cheaper model and it outperformed the second UV Beast I purchased. I will be rating that light with 5 stars.That being said, I will say that the support team for the UV Beast has a good support team, and does care what people have to say about their product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ fun! *by D***C on Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2019* i 'thought' my house was clean...got this light to play with out in the yard. but i've used it inside :Odidn't know what i was going to see, it's been interesting to say the least. i found handprints and stuff i never noticed before.looking around out in the yard is almost shocking! little bits of glowing stuff all over the place. flowers and plant leaves are colors i didn't expect at all. my tan natural fiber 'welcome' mat has bright glowing stuff all over it! lolcase is really nice quality, seems tough though i've never dropped it. the on/off button switch has a nice positive feel and sound. i'd prefer a slider switch for the various modes, but 'half presses' change it easy enough while it's turned on.no complaints, happy with this light :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well so far to detect scorpions *by D***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2019* So far it seems to work well. We’ve had it a couple of weeks and use it every night. I like that you can toggle the button so it goes to three different brightnesses. I did not realize this at first but then I read the package and discovered this feature. I only like to use the brightness feature now. It seems very well made and better quality than one I bought at a local store. Also I live that this mini beast version only takes three batteries instead of six batteries. One of our larger black lights that takes six batteries eats them so quickly and the brightness is about the same equivalency, so I like this black light for that reason. Using fewer batteries and having strong brightness is an excellent feature.I also feel like the company stands behind the product and has sent follow up emails to make sure we are satisfied. I like a company that does that! But I lost my packaging so I don’t know if I can use the extended warranty if needed.We use this black light uv light mini beast to check for scorpions every night here at our home and yard in AZ.
